CSR 2024-2025

As part of Kuttukaran Group’s CSR initiatives, Popular Vehicles & Services Ltd, the holding company and Popular Auto Works, Popular Mega Motors, Vision Motors, Popular Auto Dealers and Prabal Motors, the subsidiary Companies are jointly launching a mega project – SurakshitMarg – focussing on Road Safety. This is being done in association with SCMS Institute for Road Safety and Transportation.

The initiative aims to promote awareness on Road Safety among the general public, especially children, through Schools in Kerala, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra.

Major activities under SurakshitMarg will include the following:

1. Road Safety Training Sessions

  • Facilitate training sessions on road safety targeted at students, teachers, parents, and other community stakeholders such as Educational institution bus drivers, auto rickshaw drivers, shop- keepers, nearby resident associations etc.
  • Encourage activities that foster active participation from students’ families, aiming to extend road safety awareness and good practices beyond the school environment.

2. Implement Game-Based Education Strategies

  • Facilitate the Road Safety Board Game that reinforce road safety concepts in a fun and memorable way.
  • Conduct Role-plays, skits focused on promoting road safety.

3. Organizing Competitions and Events

  • Arrange competitions, quizzes, and other road safety-focused events that involve students and families, promoting a broader understanding and commitment to road safety.
  • Encourage creative involvement through poster-making, storytelling, or essay competitions on road safety themes, with recognition for outstanding contributions.

Below value added services are only applicable for students who have enrolled at Popular Maruti Suzuki Driving School.

License Assistance

  1. Learner License is issued from the Regional Transport Office (RTO) by the local government authority. Documents required for procuring learner license are age proof, residence proof and health certificate. All the data that will appear on the license should be given and checked by trainee. RTO authorities may reject the above mentioned documents due to any discrepancy or deficiency observed by them. Trainee may be required to deposit additional documents in person.
  2. Trainee is required to understand the process for applying for Learner’s/Permanent License. It will be trainee’s responsibility to check that details submitted are correct and up to date (Other details like biometric etc are submitted at RTO separately).
  3. Availability of slots for Learner and Permanent license may differ from one RTO to the other across India. Popular Maruti Suzuki Driving school has no role to guarantee a slot as per customer’s choice.
  4. To acquire the learner license from the RTO trainee need to appear for the theory test at RTO. To acquire permanent license from RTO, trainee need to appear for the practical test. Application of permanent license can be done after 30 days from the date of issuance of Learner license. The application for permanent driving license must be filled within 180 days from the issue date of Learners license.
  5. RTO is the only issuing authority for Learner License/Permanent License. Popular Maruti Suzuki Driving School is not liable for any commitment/assurance regarding issuance of Learner License/Permanent License by the RTO. It is responsibility of trainee to clear test at RTO for the successful issuance of Learner License/ Permanent License. Learner License/Permanent License is dispatched at given address by Indian Post, and Popular Maruti Suzuki Driving School is not responsible for its non-delivery.
  6. For providing vehicle during practical test at RTO for availing permanent license, car Model/condition is dealer’s prerogative.
  7. Any grievances related to PMSDS shall be reported immediately to the Popular Maruti Suzuki Driving School manager.
